Monitone is operated by Monitone Technologies. By using Monitone, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. What We Collect
Account information When you sign in, we collect your name and email address via Google OAuth. We do not store your Google password.
Organisation data We store your organisation name, the brands you create, and the brand guidelines you upload or build within the platform.
Content submitted for auditing Text, images, documents, and video files you submit for brand compliance auditing are processed by our AI engine. This content is stored to show you your audit history and is never used to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Usage data We collect information about how you use the platform — pages visited, features used, audit frequency — to improve the product. This data is anonymised and aggregated.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to:
- Provide and improve the Monitone service
- Process brand compliance audits on your behalf
- Send transactional emails (invite notifications, account alerts)
- Maintain your audit history and reporting
- Diagnose technical issues and improve reliability
We do not sell your data. We do not use your content for advertising.

Content you submit for auditing is sent to Anthropic and/or Google Gemini for processing. It is subject to their data handling policies. We recommend reviewing their policies if you are submitting sensitive content.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase-managed servers in the United States and European Union. We use row-level security (RLS) to ensure your organisation's data is strictly isolated from other organisations. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and brand content are permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your audit history

7. Cookies
Monitone uses session cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
8. Children
Monitone is a B2B service intended for use by professionals and organisations. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
